First run


So tonight was my first legitimate walk/run post baby. I'm about 11 weeks out from the birth of le' babe and I tell ya, I sometimes feel like my pubic bone is going to snap. BUT tonight was a little better so I'll take it. I walked/ran on a relatively flat road with a pattern of fast walk for 3 minutes run for 2 at a moderate pace. I did this for about 25 minutes and ended up going a distance of 2 miles. Hopefully this will improve, however, if the IT band moves out of its groove then if I have to walk/run my tri so be it.

On a side note: Can I just say that I'm learning that even if you were ONCE a strong athlete doesn't mean you are entitled to that athletic status unless you maintain that in your activity level. Just because I rock in my head does not mean I rock in real life. Sheesh. It's a little humbling.
